Technology beyond banking borders: combining technological innovation and FX market expertise, iBanFirst is reinventing the multicurrency payment service. Registered in Belgium in 2016, iBanFirst is a Fintech that allows companies to make payments and transfers in foreign currency using real-time prices, directly or through a banking API. The company primarily targets SMEs with international activity.
The remarkable achievements of the company led to a fundraising of 200 million euros in 2021, with Marlin Equity Partners acquiring 51% of the company. Since then, iBanFirst has expanded its business and presence globally. The iBanFirst Group now boasts over 260 employees from over 10 nationalities across more than 8 countries (including 6 new openings in 2022), all working towards the common goal of making international B2B payments easy, fast, and transparent.
Our collaboration began in October 2021, initially by filling in interim Chief People Officer position for the whole Group, covering the full range of HR responsibilities. We were supporting iBanfirst’s fast international expansion, cultural transformation, and organizational development. From Q3 2022 onwards, our collaboration focused on project management, specifically delivering system and process optimization projects.
